Participation in extra-curricular activities allows students to develop their existing skills, explore new interests, coach other students, and improve their wellbeing.
At Walthamstow Academy Sixth Form, we believe that all students should be able to participate in extra-curricular activities, either as a participant or as a coach/ facilitator.
As a participant, there are many opportunities that students can take part in. The activities available span many different themes, such as sports, the arts, debate, ICT, and general wellbeing. Furthermore, students are able to set up any new clubs to increase the variety of activities available.
It is greatly rewarding to give back to the community. Therefore, if any Sixth Form students have a particular skillset, they are encouraged to support clubs that are aimed at younger students to coach and support them. This is also a fantastic addition to any University or work application to show leadership.
