PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education)
At Walthamstow Academy our curriculum extends beyond the academic and vocational, and we support our students to develop in many diverse aspects of their lives. Our PSHE curriculum is delivered by Heads of Year in assemblies once a week and by form tutors in tutor time twice a week to ensure that our students are developing spiritually, morally, socially, and culturally into responsible, respectful and active citizens.
Our PSHE curriculum covers the RSE (Relationships and Sex Education) curriculum, developing understanding of the Fundamental British Values and also acknowledging and recognising national awareness days, weeks and months, and learning about important and notable current affairs as they happen.
