Our commitment to strong communication ensures you are always connected to your child’s learning journey. From the very beginning, we provide a parent induction session each September to help you feel informed and confident about the year ahead. Our parent handbook offers clear guidance and helpful information. Parents and students receive our weekly bulletin that keeps you up to date with key events, achievements, and Academy news.
Every child is supported with a timetable which can be attached to the lanyard, helping them stay organised. We also love to celebrate success and acknowledge achievements, and positive contributions as part of our culture of encouragement and recognition.
You will have regular contact with your child’s form tutor, as well as direct access to subject teachers, ensuring that communication is open, approachable, and supportive. Throughout the year, you will receive four progress reports, including effort grades, so you can clearly understand how your child is progressing. We also offer an annual opportunity to meet each subject teacher in person during parents evening, giving you valuable insight into your child’s strengths and next steps.
Of course, we also have clear expectations for behaviour and conduct. If a student falls short of these expectations, we see it as our responsibility to guide and support them. Should concerns arise, you will be informed promptly through our communication systems, including incident reports where appropriate. If needed, we will invite you into the Academy to work together on a plan that supports improvement, ensuring your child feels guided, supported, and motivated to succeed.
