Communication and Payments

We believe that good communication between home and the Academy is a critical element to your child’s success in school.

We use email and text messages to send you important information about the school and your child using a system called the Schoolgateway. We also use this system for collecting payments for school meals, trips, clubs and activities.

Each child can have up to two key contacts added and linked to their account. Please make sure you keep us up-to-date with any changes to your email address and mobile number.

Using Schoolgateway

There are two ways to access the Schoolgateway, either online via the website or by downloading the Schoolgateway app.

Through using the Schoolgateway you will be able to receive instant alerts, view all messages sent to you (by text or email) from the school as well as view your child’s payment account and top it up anytime.

As soon as your child is registered at the school you will be able activate your Schoolgateway account.

Getting Started

Download the app: If you have a smartphone, download Schoolgateway from your app store (Android and iPhone). The app shows the same informa

tion as the website PLUS you can send app messages to the school for FREE (this also saves the school money when we send text messages to you).

OR 

We’ll notify you by text or email when new items are available for payment.Visit the website: www.schoolgateway.com 

and click on "New User". You will receive a text message with a PIN number. Use this PIN to login to Schoolgateway.

 

Can’t activate your account?

If you’re having trouble logging in, it may be because the school doesn’t have your current email and mobile phone number on record or that the information we have is different to what you are entering. Please contact the school and we’ll update the details on our system.

 

Other Payment options

We are working hard to become a cashless school. However, there are still options available for those parents who do not wish to make payments online.

PayPoint.

If you would prefer to top up your child’s account using cash, you can do so at any Paypoint store in the UK. Just email us or call the school office to request this.

We will issue you with a bar code which can then be used at a PayPoint store.

Please note: bar codes are specific to each child as they are linked to individual accounts and you will need a separate barcode for each item you wish to pay for (ie, cashless catering, History Trip). There is a minimum payment amount of £10. Bar codes can be re-used to top up the same item. All items paid through Paypoint can be viewed by logging into your account either on Schoolgateway  or via the website.

 

Machines in School

We currently have machines in school that pupils can use to top up their catering accounts with cash using their registered thumbprint. These machines are being phased out over the next few months and are only available for use until December 2018. We would really appreciate your support by utilising the alternative options above
