Improving your Spelling
Spelling is an important and essential skill in writing. English is a complex language and our words are not always spelled the way they look. Make sure you practise spelling your key words to help improve your levels.
Here are a few examples of some of the most commonly misspelled key words in English, Maths and Science. Do you know how to spell them?
Take Control of Your Language
Ask your teacher for a list of key words and practise them by either making flashcards or using the look, say, cover, write, check worksheet attached below.

Flashcards:
You can make your own flashcards with a piece of blank paper by folding the paper 4 times to make 8 boxes. Additionally, you can purchase blank flashcards from shops like W.H. Smith, ASDA and any other local stationary shops.
