Students made exceptional progress from their starting points
2020 was a challenging year for 18 year olds at Walthamstow Academy who had been working towards their A-Levels for the previous 2 years. Our teachers undertook a rigorous process to produce Centre Assessed Grades (CAGs) for every student. Our systems and staff training were used as a model of best practice by other schools.
Students achieved very well across the range of academic and vocational qualifications, and this is as we would have expected given their excellent performance in mock exams up to the point of school closure in March 2020.
- 11% of all entries were A*
- 35% of all entries were at A* or SAS
