The ULT family
The United Learning Trust was established to create a family of Academies that provide outstanding education. It was formed in 2002 as a subsidiary of the United Church Schools Trust, which has been running high quality schools in the independent sector for over 120 years.
ULT offers the stability of an organisation with a long term commitment to education in this country, as well as the experience to run successful schools. Walthamstow Academy is a school of Christian character. This means it does not see itself as a faith school but one that has a broadly Christian ethos, based on values that underpin society, including responsibility, respect, hard work and good discipline. Students of all faiths, backgrounds and abilities are welcomed and valued.
As a member of the ULT family, Walthamstow Academy will share the objective of developing every student into a balanced, happy and articulate individual with the intellectual freedom to be creative; the confidence to initiate and innovate; the flexibility to respond to challenge, change and adversity; the strength to lead; the compassion to serve others; and the motivation to achieve a life-long love of learning.
